Kim Mupangilaï is a Belgium-born, New York-based interior architect and designer. Mupangilaï blends her European and African roots to bring a unique perspective and insight to her work that encourages fresh discourse within design and beyond. She received her Bachelor’s in Graphic Design and her Master’s in Interior Architecture at the LUCA School of Arts/KU Leuven in Belgium. Since then, Mupangilaï has completed numerous residential and commercial interior projects. In 2022, Mupangilaï debuted her furniture work with Superhouse at Design Miami/ to broad acclaim. In 2024 Mupangilaï will participate in group shows with Schloss Hollenegg (Hollenegg, Austria) and R and Company (New York, NY). She has been featured in Architectural Digest, Artnet, De Morgen, Dezeen, Financial Times, Galerie, Interior Design, Sight Unseen, Surface, The New York Times, and Milk Decoration, for which she received the cover. Mupangilaï lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
